the irony of it all is i think it would be less likely to happen had nobody said anything. you know how the sayings go; about adversity and opportunity; about distance and flames; about the kinds of kindnesses that shift stubborn hearts. those who try to subvert fate usually bring it closer; like riding a bike and staring at the thing you don't want to crash into. yell at the sky all you like; the rain doesn't care. it'll keep falling anyway.
